Illustration Restons chez nous
The French phrase "Restons chez nous" means "Stay at home" in English.
In an unprecedented historical event in 2020, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic led to a global lockdown, confining most people to their homes for at least two months.
Hence, numerous stories unfolded on the balconies of Paris, spaces of engagement and diversity, which bore witness to a variety of scenes: remote work, children sheltering with their parents, marathons taking place on the balcony, support given to the elderly, and the confounding state of confinement.
